Rodo Linea announces the release of the new line of container carriers

Rodo Linea is releasing an exclusive model with better load distribution and longer useful life, to assist the crescent market of container carriers, offering more safety to the transporter.

Rodo Linea is releasing a new model of container carrier, product of the research accomplished with its main customers and of an intense work of product engineering.

An engineering project was developed for the conception of the product in order to improve the distribution of load and to increase its useful life, which has been tested since the beginning of May.

An important point in the new model is the displacement of the central container to the back of the implement. For being transported with total load and in a position between the kingpin and the suspension, this container generates a lot of effort in the chassis, what demands certain product robustness. This care with the structural integrity causes a mass increase due to the thickness of the foils used in its construction.

With the new position of the 20 feet container, almost completely on the area of the suspension of the semitrailer, it was possible to reduce considerably the product mass, what means the possibility of transporting more liquid load. Due to the new position of the container, the new Rodo Linea container carrier has 12.20 meters in length, 20 centimeters less than the existent models in the market.

Another important point was the use of high quality steel in the container sustentation "arms". Sérgio Corrêa, engineering manager, explains that "with this steel we have the possibility of altering the thickness, reducing the mass without structural problems". These container sustentation "arms" were rigorously tested and approved by IPT - Institute of Technological Researches - following the Brazilian Norm - NBR 8571-2000.

The line has been created not only to support the pressure suffered during the transport on the highways due to the bad conditions of the Brazilian highway network, but also to provide more safety and well-being for the truck driver. Since July there are already 50 units on the Brazilian highways. Besides them, Rodo Linea already has a big list of container carriers that will be delivered in the next months.
