Finding Defects
Gap excess in the cylinder shaft stroke
Check whether the command arm is well fixed or shows defects (broken or rolling).
Check worm torque according to the guidance of the "revision checklist" item.
Check the general operation, spinning the worm counterclockwise ½ turn, operating the brake several times and making sure that the "S" shaft is spinning clockwise at brake slackening.
Small shaft stroke (locked brake)
Check pneumatic pressure, which should not be lower than 6 bar.
Check whether the hand brake is entirely slackened.
Check whether slide springs are broken or weak (in this case they must be replaced).
Check whether "S" shaft, rolls and slide fixation pins are free.
Loosen the command arm fixation screw and check whether it is correctly set.
Attention! Use only original springs. Stronger springs damage adjuster mechanism and weaker springs damage shoes return. |
